Please remember that there will be a members meeting at the club this week on Friday at 7.30pm

Please be on time so that we can get the meeting underway asap. Thank you and see you all on Friday.
Please note that the club calendar has been updated to reflect the upcoming matches for 2019

Just to let you guys know that there will be a bingo night down the club on January 19th, so bring a friend and come have some fun with the members. There will be a buffet on the night with a cost of £2.50 per person.
Don't forget that the Drums Christmas Party is next month on the 15th December, if you could please let June O'Neil know for numbers and we will hopefully see you all there!
After a disappointing Friday which saw the club lose the Group Nine double 4's against Murrayfield, the players managed to pick themselves up and go on to win in the Group Nine 4s (Malcolm Eldridge, Allan Williams, Ron Dixie and Dave Wakefield) v Murrayfield the next day and also then the Thurrock Knockout on the Sunday v United Services.
Well done guys!
Congratulations to Serena Madgewick and Michelle Squires on reaching the TALBA Pairs final and again to Michelle Squires on also reaching the Secretaries and Treasurers Singles as well.
Good luck girls!

Also the club has made the Group Nine Double Fours final to be played 1-9-18 and the Thurrock Knockout final to be played on 2-9-18
Well done and good luck everyone.
A big congratulations go to June O'Neill and Serena Madgewick in successfully defending their pairs title this weekend and making it 3 years in a row! Sadly they missed out on adding the County Fours to that trophy after losing the final by two shots with Michelle Squires and Pauline Maxwell. Commiserations also to Dave Fryer, Dave Wakefield and Allan Williams who unfortunately lost on Sunday in the third place play off at Essex County in very difficult conditions against Kings Chase.
Good luck to the ladies this Saturday with their County Finals at Thorpe le Soken, the first match will be the County Fours with Serena, Michelle, June and Pauline against four from Rainham at roughly 9:30am. Serena and Junes second title defence of the County pairs will then follow around 1:30-2pm where they face a pairing from Chelmsford as they attempt to make it three years in a row!
The following day sees Dave Fryer, Dave Wakefield and Allan Williams attempting to secure third place and a trip to Leamington in the mens County Triples at Essex County 10am against a triple from Kings Chase.
Good luck everyone and lets hopefully see a few more names at the National Finals.
